Gayla Wynn, Set Up Coordinator

I’m the eccentric lady who lives with her nine dogs – not that it’s my fault.  Six of the nine are rescues and they all keep me laughing and on the go.
They are all named after Buffett songs and have the personalities to match!  I love to read, believe there is nothing better a day out on the lake, and I’m a Parrothead addicted to good music.  I love politics – local, state, and national, and am very involved with the Marshall County Democratic Executive Committee.  I’ve got a BA degree from UAH, have worked in social service, including the domestic violence field, and in the construction industry.  I’m an Air Force brat who had the opportunity to live all over the USA and I’m more than happy that I have found me a home in Guntersville.  I have one son, Carl Cole, an attorney in Decatur, and a beautiful daughter-in-law, Kate, and two grandpuppers, Buffett2 and Bogey.

I first met the folks at Taylor Mortgage in 2000, when after living on my boat for 14 years and sharing the quarters with five dogs, I decided the dogs needed a yard and I needed a house.   They made the process easy, and in December, me and the pack moved into our new home.  Flash forward to 2004 and I re-met Tom and Laura during my son’s political campaign.  Our love for our dogs, a passionate interest in politics, enjoyment of the lake and many other shared enthusiasm quickly developed into a “should have, haven’t we known you forever” friendship.

On August 1, 2007 Tom and Laura offered me the opportunity to join the Taylor Mortgage family.  Knowing absolutely nothing about mortgages other than the fact that I have to write a check every month, I felt apprehension and excitement at facing new challenges and learning a new career.  So far, it’s been nothing but wonderful.  And to top it all off, Tiki Taylor comes to work with me!

Taylor Mortgage stresses on-going educational opportunities for all of us.  Nothing is more important than knowing how to do things right, how to treat you right, and doing the right thing.  This attitude is what made it so easy for me when I became a first time home-owner.  And this attitude will make it just as easy and enjoyable for you!
